SAY "NO" TO KILLER PLASTICS: GO GLASS NOW!

Phountain Health promotes a proactive lifestyle.  This means taking an innovative stance on our own health by pursuing a more informed way of living.

So WHY GO GLASS?

FACT 1: SAFETY IN FOOD CONTACT
For hot foods and liquids, glass maintains its molecular structure at a far higher breaking point than plastic (approx 1400 degrees C)- and glass carries no substrates or chemicals that may LEACH into your food or water.   Glass is also ideal for home food storage at low temperatures.

FACT 2: BPA (bisphenol A) is the main ingredient in all plastics (polycarbonate) that is most widely produced for drinking containers and lining most food and beverage cans, bottle caps and plastic cutlery.  Since 2008, a global crusade enforced the ban of BPA in baby bottles but little authorization since has been enacted regardless of the many studies where BPA carries health risks in food contact- especially when  heated.

FACT 3: SUSTAINABILITY
All glass is either recyclable or reusable.  Disposing of plastics contributes to greenhouse gas emissions affecting our environmental safety.  The plastic recycling process is inefficient and burns far greater resources.  Recycling glass uses 40% less energy than manufacturing new glass.

FACT 4: DURABILITY
As a protector of any content or a transporter from manufacturing plant to retail shelf, glass is the favored container of the food industry. According to the French Chambre Syndicale des Verreries Mecaniques de France, "the results confirm that glass packaging does not present a danger to human health or the environment at the end of the life cycle if ends up as household waste which either goes to landfill or is incinerated."

FACT 5:  BETTER TASTE
You are not crazy. There is a significant difference in how food and drinks taste in glass containers vs. plastics.   Food simply tastes fresher and cleaner from glass because it does not carry that 3M or DOW CHEMICAL musty plastic smell and taste- fully affecting the taste of anything it contains.  Can you imagine what it actually does to the nutritional value of the food?

THE PHOUNTAIN GLASS MOVEMENT
In 2009, Phountain Health CEO Glenn Taylor developed the blueprints of a sustainable health education center which insisted on the use of glass containers wherever possible. For reasons of safety and environmental consciousness, the Phountain Glass Movement (PGM) brings instant awareness to all customers purchasing (and transporting) alkaline water as part of maintaining a purely safe alkaline life fuel.  Today, Taylor continues this movement with an upcoming global advocacy against plastic bags and a major media presentation on "Killer Plastics".
